The Kaba stele

The Kaba Stele is a monument erected at the entrance to the city of Natitingou in honor of Kaba. It is an emblematic figure of North West Benin who had fought against colonial troops French. According to the genesis, Kaba was the head of a small village called Pélima who opposed the departure from a member of his village at the behest of the colonial administration of the AOF which sat in Dahomey. Colonial troops were therefore ordered to put him out of harm's way. Make a stopover at this place upon your arrival in Natitingou.
